BIG DISCO is no ordinary party, this is a one-off special event, it’s different, it’s quirky – expect the unexpected as things will be done differently.
It’s a street party utilising a currently undeveloped area of Leeds’ Southbank. Part regeneration project, part cultural happening, part art, part music, but all BIG FUN.
The site covers streets, pavements, car parks and yards. It’s all hard standing so you won’t need any wellies. But it’s not a freshly tarmacked driveway so best to avoid those killer heals – think festival without the mud.
All visitors must be aware that this event takes place in an outdoor location Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing. You never know what the beautiful Yorkshire weather will bring so prepare for all the elements and be ready to party whatever the weather.
We want you all dancing at 7:20pm when we play ‘The Song’ along with the rest of Yorkshire – it’s kind of the whole point! The gates open at 3pm so get down as early as you can to make the most of it. There is no last admission time but if you rock up at half 9 you will have missed out on a whole load of good stuff.
We are a city centre event so it’s best to make your way to the site by public transport or on foot. The site is just a 12 minute walk from the train station on foot and even less from the bus station.
The full address for the site is:
3 Sheaf Street
If you are travelling by car the closest pay and display car park is the Tetley Brewery Wharf Car Park – best accessed via Meadow Lane past The Adelphi Pub.
